Just reading, listening to things is not going to work, you need to act as well to accomplish things!
In the modern world we have access to so many videos, blogs, audios due to which whenever we need a slight motivation we just turn on YouTube and watch some motivational videos similarly if we ever need any life advice we get into podcast. Now it's good that we are trying to improve our knowledge, mood yet more of something is not good right? I have been listening to many podcasts on philosophy be it from Naval Ravikant, Tim Ferris, Jordan Peterson now whenever I listen to them I get like dopamine and I start feeling good about myself for that particular moment yet all the anxieties, emotions still bothered me after I start doing other work, I was also unable to be peaceful as just listening to stuff is not going to change anything inside me unless it's a meditation. Similarly we read lot of books on various topics, some people do speed reading I don't know what and why they do it yet those tricks, tips doesn't actually help in learning something. Reading 10 best books and gaining knowledge feels more good to me than just reading 100 books for just sake of completing them. Due to social media, we see other people posting their books, courses, other stuff and since we don't want to lack behind we do same which is do things for just sake of completing it instead of learning, enjoying. I started being more peaceful when I actually applied the knowledge of letting the thoughts go by now it does took time yet I now feel more calm then before and don't really feel any need to listen to any podcast, video about it. It has helped me a lot. What I am trying to say is, we must listen to podcast, watch videos, read books yet apply the things learned as well instead of just attaching to the feeling of getting better!
